    Richard,

    Great post! I just started organizing tools in my garage shop and find the layout you are discussing very efficient as well.

    I noticed you have what looks like a sharpening plate setup/holder on the edge of the bench – are those diamond or oil stones? Is the holder basically recesses on a board to hold the plates?

      I noticed this very thing, I’d love to know what stones these are also, I am due to receive one of those benches mid March and I would love one of those sharpening stone holders ๐Ÿ˜€

        Thanks Mike and Kris,
        I bought these stones quite recently having always used oil previously followed by a good stropping. These ones are diamond stones which I bought after Paul Sellers recommended them to me. The holder is something I made for them, it’s just a square of wood with a wooden frame glued on around the stones to hold them in place.
        After a long time using oil stones I’ve found that I do prefer them, I guess old habits die hard!
