Welcome to the English Woodworker.com!

March 13, 2012 By Richard Maguire 2 Comments

We’ve been planning to start a blog for a good few years now but there always seems to be so much going on around here that we’ve just never found the right time to get things up and running. Currently there are so many things happening that it seems a shame not to share so we’re taking the plunge to begin posting and are going to hope for the best.
We are the owners of Maguire Workbenches, a small bench building business in the heart of Lincolnshire and we may have already met you at various woodworking events that we’ve attended around the UK. Our lives currently are very much consumed by workbenches but our interests and projects do extend beyond them so given time we hope that this blog will provide something of interest whether you are a workbench fanatic or perfectly content with your old door and two trestles.

Our aim is to keep you posted with the more unusual projects, share any interesting bits of research and perhaps detail some of the tools and techniques being used. Of course if there is any news from Maguire Workbenches then it will be posted here first!

The bench in the background is wild. Both a leg vise and a … traveling deadman vise? Incredible.
