Peter Sefton Open Day

by | Jul 18, 2012 | 0 comments

We’d been invited on Saturday to take part in the Open Day at Peter Sefton’s Furniture School down near Worcester and we’d just like to thank Peter and his team, students and all of you who came along for a lovely day. Being our first visit to the school we were very impressed by the fabulous location and facilities and more so by the standard of the student’s work being displayed, it’s quite incredible that students were turning out such a high quality of build and design after only 9 months of woodworking tuition!

We brought along a lovely little oak workbench that Richard had completed just in the nick of time (well, the oil was still wet). It was built to a traditional English design and unlike our ‘Empire’ model was very true to the originals.

It made a great change to get Richard out of the workshop; here he’s discussing various work holding techniques.

To Trust Or Reinforce?
