Start as we Mean to Go On.

It’s now time to look forward and share our outlook for the year ahead. There’s plenty of workbenches to be built, but then that goes without saying. The following sums up a few points that will make this year different to the last.

Maguire Vices – We’ve a couple of new projects under wraps at the moment as they’re still a fair way off but one will come to light within a matter of weeks. Mark II of the Maguire Wagon Vice is at the final stages so we’ll be giving it its own post before you know it. The function remains unchanged but as we like to strive for improvements we’ve given it a make over and added some benefits while we were at it.
Work is also underway on the Maguire Bench Plans to compliment our vices. We expect these to materialise later in the year and along with full drawings we’ll include step by step details and professional advice to help you avoid common pitfalls.

The ‘Little John Workbench’ – The first run of our newest bench model will begin next month and we‘ve excited to see how you‘ll take to the ‘baby‘ of our family. We’ve already had an encouraging response and since increasing the planned quantity have once again sold out.
Once these first builds have flown the nest we’re hoping to keep this model available on a shorter than usual wait list or preferably keep them in stock.

** ONLINE WOODWORKING VIDEOS! ** – This is the one we’re really fired up about and hope you’ll be just as eager to watch!
We’ll be working on a number of furniture projects throughout the year and turning them in to episodes that you can get access to right here at TheEnglishWoodworker.com. This is possibly our biggest undertaking to date and we’re buzzing with excitement to see where we can take it. Whilst our main aim will be to keep you entertained don’t blame us if you learn a thing or two about woodworking along the way!
Filming has already begun and we’re going to bring you a full over view of this in our next post.
